With the Cameo DVC 4 interface and the associated D 4 software, DMX-compatible lighting devices can be conveniently controlled from PC and Mac. In live mode, the plug-and-play interface offers 512 DMX channels; for computer-free use as a standalone with 256 channels, programmed light shows can be copied into the integrated flash memory. The interface has a mini USB port as input, a 3-pin DMX output and is supplied with voltage via the USB output of the computer. Three buttons enable program selection and dimming in standalone mode, for which a standard 5V USB power supply is required. The free Cameo D 4 software package contains over 15,000 device libraries and a ScanLibrary editor for creating and editing your own device profiles. Individual DMX device types can be selected, combined in groups and added to the light show in a 2D view. Dynamic scenes can be created, arranged and superimposed, the palette function allows light control without moving faders, and the XEEL engine generates hundreds of different, exciting effects. The software includes a well-equipped toolbox for live edits, an audio analyzer and a MIDI clock for synchronizing light and music tempo and a 3D visualization of the programmed light show in real time. The screen layout can be completely tailored to individual requirements, and the free app "Easy Remote" enables remote control with iPhones, iPads and Android devices via WiFi.
