If, like us, you were not happy Lumopro decided to stop production of their LP180 flashes, you will be happy to see this solution.
One of the nicest features of the LP180 flash was the little tabs on the front that held gels. When the flash went out of production, we started looking for alternates. What we discovered was the actual, genuine Canon 600EX-RT flash could now be purchased used for about the same price as the LP180 was new. Six flash purchases later and we have a complete system along with the transmitter.
But we really missed the gel holder. So we made one.
This simple holder slips on easily and holds gels similar in size to the Rosco Strobist pack. Made of strong unbreakable polycarbonate. These are not massed-produced.
Note that when the gel holder is installed it blocks the use of the wide angle panel. Also note that the flash and gel shown in the photographs are not included.
