One of the secret weapons of great photographers, Fresnel spotlights are used behind the cameras of some of the most accomplished and stylish photographers and filmmakers adding visual drama to both portrait and product shots. Well described as
“sunlight in a can” an adjustable beamed Fresnel spotlight provides strongly directional but spatially defined light that simulates real sunlight yet is totally controllable.
Using a front lens element and a sliding internal light source the intense beam output can be softened (widened) or hardened (narrowed). Adjustable, rotating “barn doors” in front of the Fresnel lens then crop the light to limit it to the area desired. A rear crank controls the internal light source movement and a rear toggle controls the intensity of the modeling light. Your powerpack will control the power output.
Entire unit is in excellent shape, including the flash tube and modeling light.
The unit is rugged and very well made and includes a filter holder that fits in front of the light. Also included is an attached connection cable for a Dynalite system which can be easily replaced or modified to work with any professional power pack system.
Adjustable light output is outstanding with a maximum reading of F 32.6 at 10 feet using an ISO 100 setting and coupled with a 1000 watt/second power pack. Included yoke light stand mount allows easily adjustable vertical or horizontal movements. Light stand not included.
