Here is a very nice Grueby P
ottery tile of a galleon ship on waves with an unusual rope border at the top. The ship is brown and ochre with white sails against a blue sky. The matte glaze colors are nicely curdled and stay within the raised lines.
It measures 6 inches square and about 1 inch thick. (10.25" square framed) Marked only with glazer’s initials under a little concrete. It is in great condition with only a small corner chip filled in and no other chips or cracks, firing flaws or repairs. The top and bottom edges are glazed for installation. Framed in a custom distressed black paint frame. A really
