Description
This is a Project-a-Flash fresnel flash attachment for photography with telephoto lenses. These are primarily used by wildlife photographers looking for fill flash or eye catchlights in birds and mammals shot with telephoto lenses in subpar natural lighting conditions. PLEASE READ the entire listing. I will state everything I know about this unit. Do not ask me if this will fit your flash, or how far will it project because my answer to both questions will be I don't know. The rectangular hole where the front of the flash fits measures 80mm x 49mm. I believe the Project-a-Flash was designed, manufactured and sold in the 1990's. They have not been made or offered for sale for at least 2 decades. Flashes today are a lot more powerful so I would imagine it projects a beam even farther. Furthermore the 90's was the film era. We now are not restricted to slow grainy films but instead regularly can shoot at high ISO thus extending the range. This is for someone who won't mind tinkering with it for a bit to get it figured out so it works with their flash. If you are going to use this with a current model of flash you will likely find your flash front much smaller than the what this unit was made for as flashes in the 90's had bigger fronts although not all did and it was not required that the flash fit inside the hole perfectly. This is an AS-IS no return listing. Unit is used, a bit dusty and the fresnel has dirt and scratches. I do have some experience with fresnel lenses and do not believe they dirt or scratches on the flexible fresnel will have any impact on its use.Listing and template services provided by inkFrog
