Remark: If you plug the controller directly to your computer's ethernet jack, then the controller will be plug and play without any IP setting as it works in Multicast format of sACN (e1.31) protocol.

If you plug the controller directly to your computer's ethernet jack, then the controller will be plug and play without any IP setting as it works in Multicast format of sACN (e1.31) protocol.
The controller's default (DMX) universe number output setting as below --
(DMX) universe No.1 assgined to Port 1
(DMX) universe No.2 assgined to Port 2
(DMX) universe No.3 assgined to Port 3
(DMX) universe No.4 assgined to Port 4
You can change/assign/configure different (DMX) universe number to each port such as Universe No.5 to Port 1, Universe No.6 to Port 2, etc...
And  if you connect the controller to your router/switch instead of your computer, you need to set the controller's IP to match your router's range.
How to open the Configuration Web Page
Tip: We highly recommend Chrome for configuration page.
Note: You will not be able to access the E1.31 to DMX configuration web page interface with your browser if the 'WEB' LED indicator is off.
Connect the controller directly to your computer's RJ45 ethernet Jack, power on the controller and follow below steps:
(1)
Push the RESET button to restart the interface, then push and hold the MODE button, after a few seconds, you will see both 'WEB' & 'SIGNAL' LED indicators flash together at a rate of one flash per second.  After 3 flashes, release the MODE button!

After a few seconds, the 'WEB' LED Indicator will turn on.

Then go to your web browser(Google Chrome is highly recommended) and type the controller's temporary IP 169.254.74.73  at address bar and hit Enter on your keyboard, you will bring up the configuration web page.
Note: The web page server doesn’t operate continuously because the controller is only capable of 4 simultaneous internet connections.
So, although the first 3 ports can be dedicated to receiving pixel dimmer data full-time, the 4th port has to be shared between receiving dimmer data and running the web server.
When the controller is restarted or powered on, the Port 4 will be reserved for web server for 99 seconds. After 99 seconds, Port 4 will start to receive dimmer data if no web configuration page is opened.
