Also for sale elsewhere, so in the rare chance it sells there before I get a chance to end it here I reserve the right to cancel the sale. Ships in USA 48 states only, by UPS ground (no postal boxes)Smooth and harmonically rich, the V72A is the improved version of V72 more open and detailed compared to regular V72 which can sound slightly veiled in the top end in comparison. The 72A actually sounds more like a V76 in the highs and finer details. I have had many versions of V76 and plain V72 and the V72A was my favorite. Beautiful on anything...vocals, instruments, overheads, direct bass, etc. Read on for more what Vintage King has to say about the V72A:
VINTAGE KING SAYS:
V72A:
Released in 1964, this model was designed by TAB as a successor to the standard V72. The V72A was designed with higher headroom than the V72, variable gain from 24 to 44 dB and maximum output of +22 dBu, with plenty of head room to handle high output levels. It has a much better signal-to-noise ratio and less inter modulation distortion than a standard V72
