VISUAL DEPARTURES FX-2 fresnel flash attachment telephoto photography

This is the Visual Departures FX-2 fresnel flash attachment for photography with telephoto lenses.  It goes without saying that the flash unit and roll of tape (doubling as a stand) are NOT INCLUDED.  These are primarily used by wildlife photographers looking for fill flash or eye catchlights in birds and mammals shot with telephoto lenses in subpar natural lighting conditions.   PLEASE READ the entire listing.  I will state everything I know about this unit.  The fresnel fits on the front with velcro.  NOTE! I taped the one side on when shooting the listing photo as one side is missing the velcro so you will need to replace that velcro.  The 2 long, flared plastic pieces fit along the side of the flash head and the elastic band goes over them and holds them in place.  The interior channel is 44mm wide.  Flashes 44mm on the side or slimmer will likely work.   The 90's saw several telephoto fresnel flash accessories come to market.  Some like the unit sold by Tory Lepp were rigid plastic while this Visual Departures unit was made to pack small for traveling, hiking or flying overseas.
Do not ask me if this will fit your flash, or how far will it project because my answer to both questions will be I don't know.    This is an AS-IS no return listing.   I do have some experience with fresnel lenses and do not believe the dirt and scratches on the flexible fresnel will not have any impact on its use.   If you are not willing to tinker a bit to get this to work with you flashes/gear then this is not for you.
