Description

Wheatstone MI-64 TV-600 Mic preamp/EQ input channel strip for DIY racking or replacement use. Condition is "Used".
Removed from a working Wheatstone TV-600 console.  These are great sounding mic preamps, with high quality input transformer and excellent headroom.  The front panel has pushbutton selection of Mic 1/ Mic 2 select, phase reverse, pad, 48 volts and Line level input, with LED indications. The module includes a sweet sounding four-band swept frequency EQ section. There are abundant controls and isolated outputs for effects, aux, and monitor sends. In console use the strip supported four separately panable L/R sends, as well as a main (also separate pan control) stereo output that feeds two stereo program outputs and four mono outputs.  Whether you wish to utilize any of these extra outputs is up to you, but the card supports them. As with all Wheatstone gear, the components and build quality are top notch.  The value of the transformer, pots, and knobs alone exceed the starting price.
Racking them up is a breeze. The front panel is 19.12" X 1.5"  so you can mount a dozen of them side by side vertically (as they were in the console) or trim 1/8" off the panel length and simply mount them horizontally in a rack.  I have the full documentation for the console and I will provide a copy of the schematic with highlighted indications of where you need to provide bi-polar +/- 18 volts and 48 Volts for phantom.  There are many relays for muting and and tally features that you are not likely to use, but depending on what you choose, you may need relay and logic voltages as well.  I can assist you in deciding what DC powering you will need.
Auction is for TWO modules.  I am listing these in pairs but I have twelve pair available.
If you buy six or more modules, I will include the ribbon cable bussed edge connectors (pictured in the final photo)  that will simplify your hookup.   I also have the matching VCA fader modules for these at each (in a separate listing) if you would like to add that capability.
Audio casette propping up the module in the photo is not part of the auction. Buy hey, if you really want it...... I will be happy to include it.
